A1A Canvas is proud to be the only marine canvas company in the Florida Keys currently utilizing the Leica iCON iCS50 system for digital marine templating and fabrication. By combining cutting-edge technology with years of hands-on craftsmanship, we are able to offer our customers a higher level of precision, consistency, and customization than traditional patterning methods alone.

The Leica iCON iCS50 is one of the most advanced robotic measuring and layout systems available today. This state-of-the-art technology utilizes visual measurement systems, robotic tracking, laser precision, and digital templating tools to accurately capture complex shapes, curves, angles, and dimensions. Whether we are patterning marine canvas, enclosures, upholstery, awnings, patio systems, or custom covers, the Leica system allows us to produce cleaner, more accurate results than traditional hand-patterning methods alone. The system is capable of measurements with accuracy down to approximately ±1mm at 10 meters when used with the Leica vPen digital measuring accessory.

This technology allows us to efficiently create digital templates directly on-site, even on difficult surfaces such as glass, curved fiberglass, and complex marine structures. The robotic visual tracking system continuously follows the measuring device, helping minimize human error while improving consistency and repeatability. The Leica iCON system also automatically compensates for tilt and positioning changes, helping ensure highly reliable measurements in real-world working conditions.
